Why I write…As soon as I could hold a pencil I began to write and I have never stopped. It is something I knew I wanted to do since I was a very young child. Everything inside my head is a story waiting to emerge; and the pen (pencil, computer) is just a tool that I use to express the myriad of thoughts that circulate in my head. I believe this is so with all writers!

Who knows what depths of word-wealth lay un-mined within the soul of an unknown person who never had the chance to put pen to paper due to societal constraints or various road blocks along the way. Perhaps that same greatness lies within you. We are all blessed with specific gifts and talents and we must use what we were given to the fullest extent possible. The old wise tale says in regard to talents and gifts – “Use it or lose it.”  If you enjoy writing, write!  At the end of the day, if you cannot be satisfied by pleasing yourself, you will never fully enjoy any status you might earn as a result of your craft.

Write because you enjoy writing. Write to express your thoughts and feelings. Write to release happy, sad, painful, pleasurable experiences.  Write because it is a means of expressing your journey along this path we call life. For whatever reason you choose to do it - JUST WRITE!
