We are a diversified and "full service" literary and artistic oriented company that provides an array of products and services including: books, collages, ornamental picture frames, editing and publishing services, technical assistance to writers, hands-on workshops, staff development and motivational speaking.
Imani Institute was formed in 1990 with the main focus in providing staff development to assist schools, community agencies and other groups in understanding the significance and role of cultural diversity in all facets of art and education. Since then we have grown to include literary and artistic products as well as editing, publishing and related services.
Helen Tinsley, Founder & CEO of Imani Institute has been in the field of education for over 25 years in a wide variety of settings: public, parochial and private as a teacher and administrator. She also has extensive experience as a staff developer, educational consultant, newspaper columnist, book editor and reviewer.
As a small, independent literary service company, we provide personalized service, attention to detail and direct assistance with co-planning and promoting book release and book signing events. We provide services for the following genres of writing: term papers, essays, manuscripts, poetry compilations, chapbooks, novels and non-fiction pieces.
